united mutation: 1st 2 7″s on a cd
DSI Archives (finally) reissues both United Mutation 7″s on a handy dandy CD. FLEX says “Like most DSI releases, this is a bit different from the typical DC hardcore. Wild & ultrafast hardcore with some really weird guitar riffs and a crazy singer. Strange, intense, unique. The Rainbow Person 7″ is a lot more experimental than the debut, screaming singer, weird guitar sounds, lots of reverb. It’s still hardcore, but then again.. it’s not. Interesting.” An argument could be made that the first use of “crust” vocals was by U.M.
